Three steps from first coffee to last payment

Fewest payments
Instead of a tangle of IOUs, you get the shortest list of transfers that squares everyone up.
Any currency
Paid in yen on a euro trip? Log it as it was charged. Tallyho fetches a live rate you can adjust to match your bank.
Receipt photos
Snap the receipt when you pay. It stays with the expense, so nobody has to dig through a camera roll later.
Budget and trends
Set a budget, watch it fill up, and see spending by day and by category, from the stay to the snacks.
Your own view
Pick yourself once and Tallyho tells you exactly what you owe or get back, with a reminder ready to send.
One link for the group
Everyone opens the same trip from their own phone and adds what they paid. No accounts to create.
Spreadsheet export
Download every expense, payment and share as a spreadsheet for your records or the company expense claim.
Smart settle-up
From a web of IOUs to three payments
Twelve shared costs between four friends leave everyone owing everyone. Tallyho nets it all out and suggests the shortest way home.
Any kind of trip
Wherever the group goes, the tab goes too
Two friends or twenty, one night or three weeks. If you are sharing costs, Tallyho keeps it fair.

Fuel, tolls, the van rental and a lot of snacks.

Tickets, the campsite, shared drinks and the ride home.

City breaks
The apartment, metro passes, museums and long dinners.
FAQ
Good questions, short answers
Is Tallyho free?
Yes. Starting a trip, adding expenses and settling up costs nothing, and there is no limit on how many trips you run.
Do my friends need an account?
No. Every trip has its own private link. Send it to the group and anyone who opens it can see the trip and add what they paid.
How does it decide who pays whom?
Tallyho adds up what each person paid and what each person owes, then finds the fewest payments that bring everyone back to zero. With four people that is never more than three transfers.
What if someone only joins part of the trip?
Untick them on the expenses they were not part of, or add them to the trip later. Each expense is split only between the people you pick.
What if we pay in different currencies?
Each trip has a home currency for the balances, picked from 26 options. Any expense can be logged in the currency it was paid in: Tallyho suggests a live exchange rate, which you can change to match your bank, and splits the converted amount.
Can I keep the receipts?
Yes. Add a photo of the receipt to any expense. It is shrunk to a sensible size, kept privately with the trip, and only opens for people who have the trip link.
How do I find my trip again?
Trips you open are remembered on your device and appear on the home page. The link is the key to the trip, so bookmark it or keep it in your group chat.
Who can see our trip?
Only people who have the link. Links are long and random, and trip pages are kept out of search engines.
Your next trip starts with a fair tab
Set it up before you leave, share the link, and let everyone log as they go. It takes less time than reading this.
